Volunteers Deliver Landslide Victories in APS BOE Elections

For the last 35 days, over 100 different ATF members signed up for over 400 different shifts that totaled over 1,200 volunteer hours.

Together, alongside our partner community organizations, we helped elect ALL of our ATF-endorsed candidates, four people who deeply care for our district, our educators and our students.

Congratulations to:
Lorenzo Garcia (Incumbent, District 3)
Candy Patterson (District 5)
Elizabeth Armijo (District 6)
David Peercy (Incumbent, District 7)

We had the honor of hosting all four candidates at our election night watch party last night, where the room was filled with a spirit of hope. We are proud that community organizations and individuals who have traditionally not been involved in school board elections stood with our educators in defending our district’s future. Together, we successfully pulled hundreds of people to the polls who had never voted in a Board election!

This speaks to the power of the people, something we must not forget as we move forward. We must carry this momentum as we continue into the legislative session. Please sign up for action alerts via text message so that we can continue to educate, organize and activate.

Text “ATFaction” to the number 69238.
In solidarity,

Team ATF
