Your union has fought for years to advocate for related services educators to receive the same supports that state law has mandated for new teachers. We have also pushed for experienced E & RSEs to have the opportunity to be compensated for the work they undertake as mentors, just as their teacher colleagues do. Our years of effort bore fruit in the 2020 APS/ATF Negotiations.
Now, Counselors, Social Workers, Nurses, Interpreters, Speech and Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Audiologists, Orientation and Mobility Specialists, Athletic Trainers, School Psychologists, Educational Diagnosticians, and Transition Specialists/Rehab Counselors have a mentorship program ready for the second semester of the 2020-21 School Year!
New to your profession and need a mentor?
Are you an experienced E&RSE practitioner who is ready to be a mentor?

Assigned mentors will earn $1,000 per semester just like in the teachers’ mentor program.

This new opportunity is the result of the commitment of ATF leadership, staff, and the incredible constituent fed reps who have toiled unceasingly.
